Founded in 1997 in the Principality of Monaco, the Art Gallery Maison d’Art operates in the Modern and Contemporary Art field, with a strong background in Old Masters from the 13th to the 18th century.
Besides Modern and Contemporary art exhibitions held at the Gallery, Maison d’Art takes enthusiastically part in major art fairs, such as TEFAF Maastricht, London Masterpiece, the Biennales d’Antiquaires in Paris and Florence, the Moscow World Fine Art Fair and many others.
MAISON D’ART have contributed to the enrichment of some highly important collections, both in the private and the public domain. Among these we find such names as the Louvre in Paris, the Metropolitan Museum in New York City, the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth (Texas), the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Musée National d’Histoire et d’Art of Luxembourg to name a few of Museums.
MAISON D’ART has also enriched collections of very important private collections mostly that are on the Forbes list that are considered today some of the best collections of the world. We have sold paintings and sculptures such as Caravaggio, Lorenzo Lotto, Titian, Bernini to name a few.
Marietta Vinci-Corsini
Marietta Vinci-Corsini has worked for many years in the art field and today she successfully directs the MAISON D’ART. She has dedicated the better part of her life to the research and study of art, specifically old master paintings. Marietta Vinci-Corsini’s interest and specialization in some aspects of European painting – eighteenth century landscapes – had driven her to write, on many occasions on the Italian artist Francesco Foschi (1710-1780), culminating in a monograph on the artist: Francesco Foschi. (Milano: ed Skira, 2002). Pierre Rosenberg of the Académie Française, and at the time, Curator of the Louvre Museum in Paris, kindly wrote the preface to the book. This work is not only a precious contribution to the study of landscape painting and European art history, but it serves as a testimony to Marietta Vinci-Corsini’s passion for art.
